Here's an oddball problem I've noticed:
I have ObjectDock running with 2 docks:
1. Standard app launcher: Other than the "Weather Channel" docklet, its all just shortcuts to applications.
2. SysTray dock.
When I use a firewire / external disk drive, and try to use the Safely Remove Hardware icon via ObjectDock, I keep getting the canned Windows error "the device 'Generic volume' cannot be stopped right now."
If I unload ObjectDock and use the Windows Systray, it ejects fine.
Here's some further details, after experimenting a bit:
This happens consistently if the Firewire drive is plugged in BEFORE loading ObjectDock (which occurs if I have it plugged in while booting). I can reproduce this affect easily post-booting by quitting ObjectDock, ejecting the drive, re-inserting the firewire drive, and then re-launch ObjectDock. Doing this, I can't eject the drive via ObjectDock's systray (I have to do it via the Windows SysTray after exiting ObjectDock).
I double-checked, and none of the shortcuts link to anything on the external disk (they all point to stuff on the C drive). I also tried disabling the Docklets. It seems as though there's something else locking the external drive...but I can't figure it out.
I'm stumped. Anyone else have this problem?
