Hi. New forum goer's first post. :)

Hello all. I just wanted to introduce myself, TheAvatarOfPeace. I've been keeping an eye on this game for several months, and only recently decided to join the forums. First off, I want to say it looks amazing. The concept behind SINS is great, the screenshots are improving constantly, becoming more and more elaborate and visually stunning, and the few short videos I've seen on YouTube (concerning Beta 1, anyways) are quite impressive.

I have a computer capable of handling the beta, and I am really looking forward to trying out Betas 3/4 after I preorder the game.

I've been a big fan of the RTS genre since I was 6 years old, starting of with CnC Red Alert and moving all the way up the series (Tiberian Sun, Red Alert 2, Generals, and all their respective expansion packs) and have only recently branched out to other games, namely Supreme Commander. This is the first space RTS I've come across (although I am sure there are others out there), but this one astounds me with what it is trying to accomplish.

I wish all the guys at Ironclad/Stardock the best in selling Sins Of A Solar Empire, and look forward to playing it soon. Cheers!

Welcome to the forums! Its always nice to hear from new members. It sounds like you have all the RTS prerequisites you need to take on SINS.

We look forward to your feedback on the game in Beta 3. The last beta was rife with forum-recommended features & alterations. We're always listening!

I'm glad to be welcomed, and I look forward to trying out your third and fourth betas. The only other beta I was on was the Supreme Commander beta...I tried to run it on my old computer (more than 6 years old, now), and it didn't meet the video card requirements...then had to wait three months for our new computer to come in, and then I still had to wait a month for my computer to connect to the multiplayer lobby...talk about a tough game, but I managed to get it working about 2 months before the beta closed.

While I've tried tons of RTS, I haven't actually gone into the 4X realm of things that much. I only have a little experience with Civ III and Master Of Orion II: Battle At Antares.

hi and welcome, more feedback is more the merrier, Im a beta tester, signed up near the beginning of the beat 2 phase, missed out on 1, but this game does play very well, but Im sure it will change and mature over the course of the months ahead, and this is completely different to MoO 2 as that is turn based, never been a big fan of turn based games, always preferred real time, and this is looking to be a great real time game

Anyways, welcome Peace, hope you dont mind the shortening.

Do participate in the off topic section, which in my opinion is the only section that has remained marginally free of taint.

Well, I like to consider myself a different kind of evil than some old Sith Lord. I want to go into more detail, but I would probably sound super serious...everyone knows that TheGreatEmperor is a goodie at heart.

Haha, socialism is evil, in some ways, but it attempts to do good. Bringing up the downtrodden is quite possible, but not without taking away majority of wealth in the majority of the population.

I want a Brave New World! But sadly, I shall long be dead before that ever comes...but a pyramid city would be pretty cool.

Brave New World was horrible(the world, not the book), no scinetific progress what so ever just because it broke the balance of stability.

And I dont think the people even knew true happiness, because they never knew true suffering.

This world has a balance, that world was a tipped scale.

Hehe. I haven't read the whole thing yet, but the genetic engineering/assembly lines are quite interesting.

1984 is a cool dystopian world, but it doesn't result in much that is good for humanity...obviously.
