In the latest issue of Games for Windows magazine, as soon as you peel back the cover, we have a nice two page advertisement for the game. The magazine was home delivered yesterday, very good timing for the game.
At the back of the magazine, Microsoft gets a few pages for advertisement purposes that is used to highlight games that they feel pushes forth the Games for Windows initiative. They highlight Conflict: Denied Ops (two page spread) and SoaSE (two page spread). They give it the headline 'Homeworld Meets Civilization.' They go on to say:
"For strategy players who want more depth in their real-time strategy games and want the key to victory to be their strategies and not their reflexes, Sins of a Solar Empire is the answer."
They give a web address: www.gamesforwindows.com/en-US/Games/pages/sinsofasolarempire.aspx
Elsewhere in the issue, they give out their 2007 game of the year awards. Ome of these awards is titled Person of the Year. They give it to Ken Levine (Bioshock, I think he also did Freedom Force). In the article he talks about downloading PC games as the future. He also states:
"There are lots of downloadable games coming out that I'm just dying for-[like Stardock's] Sins of a Solar Empire."
Good coverage for a game that came out this week and in a magazine that just came out this week.
