You said not matter how much YOU research. I am refering to the AI enemy not arming their ships. Your personal ships will not show up with weapons as the ships were deliberately made blank slates.

If this is a problem I'm going to have to do a little editing on every single ship pack.

{edit}: I just started a tiny map game with just Federation and Klingons to see how the AI is working.

Nope. But as soon as it is I'll put a screenshot on prior to its placement in the Library.

I've never seen them, I've never had the event and I have no idea what the ships look like. I can easily change the text of the event to fit whatever I want but if I can change there ships too I'd like to turn them in to the Borg.Well, indirectly you can get their 'default' data set straight off the reference xml file or by scanning through the str... i've seen them at least once and IIRC, they had some regular minor race ship styles.Completing the entire 12 races set (you wouldn't want to tackle up the custom #12 as it is a risky attempt to configure & install *properly* from a Mod folder, btw) implicates going for elements outside Fed/Emp usual context;To me, Star Trek is an extremely vast subject but there are specific cases which, in general, are known enough to be considered 'Major';Beyond TOS, we got TNG, DS9, VOY & ENT.- The Borg (by Q-Continuum) & Ferengi were introduced in TNG.- Breen, Cardassian & Bajorans were mainly into DS9.- Kazon, Okompa, Maquis, The 'Plague' & plenty more could be tied straight with VOY.- And ENT, mostly covered some pre-TOS era... namely the "Insectoids" and the true 'Tholian' & 'Andorian', etc.Horta!


or and lets not forget section 31 was introduced in voyager and Enterprise

Well I wouldn't consider Section 31 a race. However I did make a reference to them in my Medussa class ship found in the Federation ship pack.

Love the Carnivons. They are most certainly keepers. As for the Hydrans I like them but I'm keeping them on the shelf as they say. I don't want to try to mess with them until after the Lyrans and Tholians are done. Until I start playing with the Hydrans and manipulate the pieces available I'm never sure on how the exact style will work.

However as the Carnivons, love the ships, love the names, and I'll keep them as is.

Thanks Ronin: I will be sending you a zip file on the Carnivon ships and the Hydran ships. I know that you always have the option on changing them. And thats cool with me. Just love helping in making the ships and such.

Yes I want the Geckodons to still be apart of this, but about their apperence in the mod is only cameo.

Ok I quit my Tiny map test game. The point was to see if the AI would use my ship templates that were blank and then arm them. Well I was Federation and my opponent was the Klingon Empire. Out of character I started the war against the Klingons. At first I felt I made a mistake in trying to test it because I had Klingon with Super Dominator so they had ships with weapons right away but they were computer made ships not my templates. But after making short work of them he started to make the ZY starfighter in my ship pack. And it was armed as this screenshot of the battle shows:

The Klingon player also armed his Construction ship but I forgot to take a screenshot before I blew it to Kahless.

So atleast I know that the AI player will arm the ships. Now I can go back to making the next ship set.

In other news I try to keep track of my ship downloads.
On July 1st:
Federation: 1479 downloads
Gorn: 314 Downloads
Romulans: 690 Downloads
Klingons: 587 Downloads
August 1st:
Federation: 2737
Gorn: 609
Romulans: 1672
Klingons: 1331

I was actually surprised that the Romulans have more downloads then the Klingons. I figured the Empire of Steel would have more fans.

Well the game developers make it clear that they break off of the normal Star Trek timeline. But this I do know this. Its based off of the original series star trek so its in the 23rd Century. According to their timeline though the General War which this mod is modeled off on takes place 170 years after Human and Vulcans meet.

2063 the date Zefram Cochrane made his warp flight and met the Vulcans + 170 years would be 2233 (23rd Century). Its implied that events of Federation and Empire happen before the events of Kirk and the original series. Since that was in the later 23rd Century the timeline works out pretty well.

The Tholians are a refuge race. So being not native to our galaxy they were stuck with limited resources to build up their fleet. So the good news is not too many hulls to make:

Huge:
Tholian Dreadnought (Guardian)
Neo-Tholian Dreadnought (Vortex)
Large:
Tholian War Cruiser (Swarmer)
Tholican Cruiser (Webfighter)
Neo-Tholian Heavy Cruiser (Avenger)
Medium:
Tholian Destroyer (TK5)
Neo-Tholian Light Cruiser (Furious)
Small:
Tholian Corvette (Webspinner)
Tiny:
Tholian fighter (Arachnid)

Cargo:
(Web Tender) Multi-purpose hull. Only making a single hull to be used for all 6 cargo hull type ships. My thinking of this is once again because they are refuges and building supplies and designs were limited.

I figured out how to do them and I was going to work on the next after the Lyrans but you are more then welcome to try your hand at them.
