Yeah I do... they have slimy underhanded business practices that even governments can't/don't even get away with because of public scrutiny/accountability and fear of losing office/getting impeached, etc, etc.

Starkers, me fine boyo....In Amerika, all the government has to say is "9/11" and "Poof" The Bill of Rights, and Habeas Corpus disappear!
Yes, we need unorthodox approaches to dicover those who wish to hurt us (one being not to try and run their countries for them) but to suggest that the government couldn't and doesn't engage in underhanded ways of practicing it's "business" is like suggesting there are honest foxes that could guard the chicken coop. There aren't and it's because people are only people and money/power don't talk, they swear!
Which browser/site doesn't collect data on you? Google doesn't spell it out in so many words, and they engage in "Newspeak" (viz. "Patriot Act"), but I don't use Google Desktop for that very reason (like I want Google indexing everything on my machine?)
but, please be careful about that Trojan/virus talk...G-d only knows who's listening.
In truth, there is a place for "Cloud Computing" and a place for "Desktop Computing" (i.e word processing....remember how Personal Computing was all about positive control and independence?).
I am just saying "Know the Beast for what it is, and isn't." or, as Don Vito said, "Keep your friends close but your enemies closer."
