question

if i sent my A.I  ally credits/metal/crystal will they get them?

will they use them?

 

just wondeing because i sent my ally loads of coin etc and he seemed to do nothing with it

i thought maybe he would splash out on trade ports and planet defences etc but no

Let's just say that the AI isn't real bright...

 

...but...the good news...is...

 

...you could come play the game in online multiplayer, even humans v. AI games...and your human teammates would know what to do with the stuff.  So come join the fun online.

The AI does get the credits you give it, but if it already has plenty (which the AI generally does, especially on Unfair) then it won't really do anything. It would be interesting to be able to see your allies' current finances, though.

Chances are the AI bases what it builds and how at least partly on its own income rates rates, so I don't know that giving it a bunch of money will make it do anything fancy with it

good thought. it would of course be pointless, if there is no consequence to it, but in the environment of a diplo expansion ... . I can imagine this being of some use when applied to team mates in multiplayer. you instantly see how your guys are doing resource-wise.

Am I the "constant thread derailer" who advertises the online multiplayer part?  Yeah, I guess I am.  But I think I gave him an answer--the AI isn't real bright and it's hard to say what it will do with whatever you give it.
