Okay, firstly I've never heard of a DD (digital download) that used Starforce or similar software - they typically verify a specific CD/DVD in the drive before letting the app run. So whether you d/l SR2 from TotalGaming.net or Stardock's new Impulse, you'll be free of that DRM-killing-your-optical-disk-drivers nightmare.
Second...the specs state a 64Mb 3D video card that's DirectX 9.0c compatible. I dunno intel's specs for their onboard graphics chips, but I'm willing to wager that you're going to have trouble.
Two options tho: try out the demo that I KNOW you should be able to find somewhere (....oops, like TotalGaming.net's Space Rangers 2 page...yellow button right below the "Buy Now" one *blush*) If that works, you're in business.
...if it doesn't? Well, there's still the original game - SR2's predecessor, it's also available on TG.net for the same price, and I'm willing to wager that your GMA 950 counts as a "16-bit (800x600res) DirectX 7 compatible video card". It's virtually the same game; the devs really took the core mechanics and polished things up with the sequel (can store extra ship components at bases, use robot drones to harvest trade goods & gear from uninhabited planets, can invest extra cash in improving coilition bases and forces and the like, 3 'grand foozles' instead of just one, and of course the optional RTS sidegame added)
Of course, another option would be to plump up and buy both games at a bundle price (I got the first game included in the box when I bought a hard-copy of SR2 at WalMart) and you could amuse yourself with the original while you saved up for a cheap 64mb vidi card...
Hope this info helps!
