I've read posts of people complaining about actual difficulty levels not beign what they expect. For example, Normal has nerfed AI and Hard has full AI with a resource bonus. What I've though is a new way to setup AI controlled oponents before starting the game.
At the game setup screen, the player now would have three ways to configure the AI.
- Nerfed (unexperienced players) or Full AI.
- Handicap bonus (instead of a fixed and unknown amount of resource bonuses, now it could vary according to the player's desires. It would range from -50% to +100% in 10% increments)
- Aggressor, Researcher, etc...
I find this way of configuring the game not complex at all and much more effective than the actual way. What do you think?
