5v5 for me, started, but never got past 3 mins into match, can't remember if any players dropped before start.
It happens so often. So probably.
4v4 can work via custom games usually start, but many times end erraticly.
I'm quite sure that making a game peer to peer allows just one single maurauding hooligan the ability to ruin the game for any other players in the match.
Also, been getting tons of "desync" messages over and over and over and over and over when other players drop from a match. Eventually this idiotic warning message pops up whilst making some move in game, then... your game cursor dissapears and you can't control your demigod anymore. After attempting to crtl-alt-del, task manager over and over and over until the game relinquishes control back to the windoze O/S your try to "force quit" the game and then you finally have some hope sometimes of having the game cursor magically re-appear. If your not dead by now, your sure to die soon. Yay. Now your on the defensive since your teammate has already quit due to the incessant "desync" error message. Now you lose because this happened 5 more times. Also- when will the ability to minimize the game and get into the task manager ever going to work properly? Your telling me this didn't show up in your bug testing as a problem? No one ever tried to ctrl-alt-del?
I played a single player version on a friends laptop in an airport and bought the game thinking that the multiplayer via internet was a 1v1 up to a 5v5.
I was stoked to play, and stardock stuff was legit before, meaning it worked.... I didn't hesitate to buy, but now I know I made a mistake buying this game before doing more research. I'm dissapointed and discouraged, console games are now buggy to the point of being uninstallable or unplayable from time to time.
Finally, I have now just ended up with 3 Pantheon matches in a row ending up with me solo with AI as my teammate against two humanz. Frogboy says when the game was released that they thought the AI was sufficient and could compensate in the these scenarios in ranked games.
When has comp AI ever been as good as a 10 year old even? What a line. If these game devs developed an AI that could replace an average human game player, well, they wouldn't be programming games.
Anyways, wishing the game worked.
