Updating the game (verifying)

I downloaded a full 100% out of 100% of the latest content patch (the one in which the game suggested I patch to) for Elemental.

5 times now.

The last (fifth )time I checked a box called "Show Prerelease Versions" this did not help one bit whatsoever.

I am still stuck at "Verifying". It's been 3 hours now at verifying this last attempt. The attempt to download before this I left it on verifying all night.

Obviously there is something wrong.

IN ALL CASES IT HUNG UP AFTER 100% was downloaded.

I use Windows 7.

WHat is the deal?

A couple of questions.

Did you buy the box version and are attempting to update it?

If so then try to download the whole game from impusle instead. Also make sure that it successfully activated on your impusle account.

Have you downloaded other games succesfully with Impusle?

If No

Could be a firewall issue or a bad install of Impusle, might even be a permission problem with windows (run as administrator or check your security settings).

If yes

It could be that Impulse is just getting swamped with request in your area and is having a hard time verifying or it could be that you're game's ID isn't in their database yet and will be added in later(if boxed).

I would try again tonight and if it doesn't work I would contact stardock support in the support forums for elemental

I get the same exact thing on my vista 64 machine, doesn't do it on xp, both computers on the same network. Also After I close it it says game is installed and it "works".
