Honestly, I've noticed the massive overload of Troll-fever lately too.  Personally, I enjoy a good trolling, but when someone comes into it unexpectedly, we lose potential forum members, or(And this is more a loss to the MP group), potential online players.  The troll-threads should really go, but I don't see any reason for everyone here to simply play nice just because someone's feelings might get hurt.

On a side note, where did the term Troll come from?  Is it a reference to the mythological creature, or is it a reference to the fishing strategy?

These are the questions that haunt me.  That, and where can I find a Poison Joke plant.....

@ Twi: This link should clear up a few things about the origins of trolling. Do I dare ask what you mean with a "Poison joke plant"? It sounds like some sort of dangerous weed plant.

And wouldn't it be ironic if that wiki on trolling was actually a troll created by some devious mastermind?  Thanks tho.  If it's legit, then the fishing reference was closer.  I guess it seems to have evolved to cover both now...

The Sins Rebellion area.  I didn't even know we had a Misc. Discussions sub-forum, by the way since it isn't listed on the main page.  For some bizarre reason known only to Stardock they hide a lot of the sub-forums.

but every pony thing I have been shown by my sister? has to do with huge quantities of violent killing.

 

There was one thing about grinding up ponies into rainbows.

Another with chainsaws 

(I think i saw that chainsaw thing somewheres on this forum even.)

It's called creepypasta. Ever read Cupcakes or Cheerilee's Garden? Those are particularly horrific ones.

 

 

On another topic, did we get banished to an obscure sub-forum that no-one else apparently uses because Yarlen is sick of ponies or troll topics?

I'd say its likely because the conversation had zero to do with Sins Rebellion, yet started off relevant enough to Sins to not get moved to Everything Else, which cross-posts with all the other Stardock forums.

It wouldn't be nearly as bad if Yarlen sent the other useless troll stuff here.  At least this thread would have company.
