That's correct, Cap'n. I believe I published on that, but there was a CBS Special on the subject well before me.
In general, consumer 3-in-ones don't have hard drives, so just turning them off should be enough to clear temporary memory.
However, I do recommend actually reading the manual as to whether the printer has a hard drive. If it does, there should be instructions on how to clear it before sale. If that isn't apparent, tech support for the product should be contacted.
