I play on an Nvidia Surround setup, with 3 monitors that puts me at 5760x1080 resolution. As far as I can tell no turn based game would really benefit from this resolution, and I wouldn't want to play on it. That being said, I generally play these types of games (including galciv3) in a windowed mode, ideally a borderless window centered on the middle monitor.
I read somewhere that galciv already uses a borderless window function for its full screen, however with this window is stretched to fit your full screen resolution. The problem I am having is that the borderless windowed mode ( full screen ), when set to 1920x1080, is stretching that resolution across my 5760x1080 screen. This is unplayable. Windowed mode seems to be functional for the most part, aside from when you accidently move the window and the button locations (where your mouse has to be to click buttons) sometimes offsets and you cant quite put the window back in the right spot.
My question is, is it possible to get a borderless window that is a fixed resolution without stretching? I wish more games would implement this, as it is very convenient for multiple monitor users. Perhaps its already like this for non-surround set ups, however if anyone has used surround before they know its a pain in the ass to toggle surround on and off.
