(suggestions from stream 27.02.15 for a new indenpendent system that works its way, by effecting the map-mainpulaton and battle tactics )
(description)the thing i want this system to do, is to use a custom or its own way to interact with the map with (note indenpendency ) of the tech tree and what you got on your ships.
lets say we start rather from the screen (with a faction you want to play as) with the options of chosing 4 unique techs that cannot be gained trought the tech tree such as a ship gaining a lvl from exp points and it turns it into a irregular ship with a map/tactic abilety that cannot be gained otherwise.
(what impact will this have on galciv3, rather than a straight foward battle battle thing (it adds the fun option to choose your playstyle and develope it further)
and what this do, is that it creates new ways to interact with ships and maptactics by making you pick 4 techs out of 20, (indpendent of what you have and do during the game) but rather what you like to focus on and build on that type of stragety such as adding.
(exsample)
(Not buffs) that can effects the ouput,of the techs, but rather what that ship can do uniquely. as giving it one irregular abilety that acts as a uppgrade that can make 1 ship, call upon an another one ship that is yours from 2 hexes away. and when your opponent invades this irregular ship just before the battle starts (the irregular ship) can summon/call, on/one and that ship and you have made it to be a tank ship with pure defences/or the oppsite. This can exsample make the the called ship to do somthing special in that battle like taunting enemys ship during that battle (if both the tank and the caller got the irregular abilety of your chosing)and this creates a synergy with the two irregular ships and be able to use it to its full advanteg.
1 What is a irregular ship? its a ship with an irrgular abilety indenpendet of the tech tree and can interact with each other, and the map itself. depending on what you choose to go for in the custom faction options (such as picking traits) 4 out of 20 abiletys and applying them on the ships during the game and try to work out a synergy and stragety you want to go for in between them (the ships).
