End Game Units ?

Not seen it asked yet but will there be your classic end game units that everyone enjoys progressing through the tech tree for ?

Examples might be titans, experimentals, krogoth  I think part of sup coms big success was the the experimentals, i duabt it would have been half as popular without them.

 

And what about your other end game weapons like nukes, big berthers or other similar end game long range weapons.

With the Extra graphics afforded by the new engine, even if you don't include nukes in the end game i would like you to do it just once please and video it for the founders vault hahahaha

Pretty sure he's referring to different titans with that, there are various games that have "titans" as unique end game units, including Sins.

I got that answer from Frogboy on my post.



Are we getting epic size units, like in supreme Commander 1 & 2?

 The largest units currently are around 600 meters long.  In some future iteration we will (if it makes sense for gameplay) look at having even bigger.  Mind you, 600m is about the size of the Enterprise-E.

For the base game, we will have three tiers.  You have T1s and T2s which are equivalent to the same thing in Total Annihilation.  But we also have T3s which are the capital ships.

Post-release, we'll look at what might as well be called a T4 which would be more like a prototype. But we want to take great care before adding such mega units because the game is supposed to focus around ones strategy overall as opposed to going through with a single mega unit.

T4 Prototype Units will be very interesting to see happening as a DLC. keep the good work

Over all strategy can work at t4 level too it depends how much there is at the experimental prototype level.  You could do spiderbot in supcom or artillery or nukes or stick with a t3 and maybe do a transport rush.  that game had a lot of strategys yet still had lots of different end game units and buildings.

sins was obviously an example of a lot less end game units and buildings to choose from with just the large Titan and the super weopon to build.  But I liked the unit veterancy in sins, worked much better than supcom where units tended to be disposable.
