I just noticed a few things going on with the economy sliders. I'm playing gigantic galaxy, all races plus my custom race. First, when I allocate the manufacturing production, the total being allocated to the social and military doesn't add up to the total manufacturing. I suspect this is just a rounding error. But second, the percentages aren't even close to right. As an example, I was allocating 255 total manufacturing, and when I set social to 100%, I was still getting 70 as the military production. Something is screwed up with the sliders and their percentage calculations I think. Also, I was in the midst of a social building program, so I set my whole economy to 100% social spending. But I also wanted to keep one of my shipyards that was close to two planets at full capacity. So I went to govern these planets, and the slider for social/military spending wasn't affecting the allocation. I could change the percentages, but it wasn't changing the allocation. I set 100% of my two planets to military production, and my shipyard still wasn't getting any production. I'm inclined to believe the planet governor system is broken somehow.
Anyway, if you're listening Stardock, please look at these. The ability to govern specific planets is VERY important to running an empire at maximum efficiency.
