Color Scheme?

I think Ashes is too much into the grey scale color scheme.  Units, buildings, UI needs much more primary color differentiation (See Supcom 2) for quick interpretation of what is going on in game.

Everything has a washed out grey color to it.

Thoughts?

Also, i think the nodes needs a symbol with different levels, or a system similar to SoTSE to show what areas are weak and strong.  Right now, kinda hard to see my strengths and weaknesses on the mini map.  This is more of a factor on larger maps battling on multiple fronts.

I really don't think so. I think it's ok for the aethetic of the game for the units to have these metalic hulls.

however the terrain is indeed way too desaturated and lacks life and detail.

also the explosions are what we should be looking for more colors in.

the maps are boring in general. Given the scale more or less no vegetation (bunch of trees you can barely see and have no influence on gameplay dont count), obviously no water, no structures, cities etc....

Yes indeed the current diversity in ASHES maps is very basic and simple, but I also know that at this time the priority goes to other stages in the development of this game, we have to keep in mind that this team is not composed of many elements but they are good.

I Also make maps to GreyGoo, not playing AOTS because Zoom and the very small units and GreGoo due to Zoom but can´t stop appreciate the amazing maps of GreyGoo is probably the best of these last years.

I bought the game ,and have a map editor really good,me and my team will try podium in map creation contest( https://www.greybox.com/greygoo/en/news/uncharted-territories-map-creation-contest/)

What I want to say is that AOTS will probably be better, they have all the knowledge on the technology, there is no reason to not be.

At this point the map editor in the game is extremely important for both (players and developers) its the  pillar of a game.

What I ask to AOTS team is dont be afraid to risk, this game has a lot of potential, but will take some risk decisions ,dont put out and take advantage of other ideas that have been successfully and improve them.

Only then this game will be an icon in this industry of DX12.

Have more diversity in the game .

+1 on the terrain needing an upgrade. When a few friends have seen screen shots or the benchmark running they look at it and say it looks like it is missing something. They mean the terrain. As said above, the scale makes trees look like moss, or shrubbery at best. Dunes which might be quite large on the human scale are barely a crease on the map. I know there will be no navy but I was quite surprised there will be no place-holder water by release as even a pool or lake here and there can make maps look so much better.

I don't have Goo but that map certainly looks incredibly lush. I wouldn't expect that in Ashes as they need something which can scale to massive maps but it needs to improve. Sounds harsh but if we are saying it as enthusiasts then when the average Joe looks at the game and then at the required PC specs they are gonna expect impressive visuals all over.
