How much time does 1 turn represent?

The game has a date but I don't pay close attention to it. How much time is 1 turn suppose to be in real world time?

Each turn is worth one week in game time. In real world time, however long you take your turns.

Pretty much... yeah. Take a closer look at the date changes the next time you turn begins and see.

I seem to recall someone modding the time from one week to a month. That would be better but still too short. 3 months would be about right.

I try to never think in terms of turns having a time factor. I just think of it as a turn.

The problem with 4x games is that because of the nature of the gameplay mechanics it's not possible to have realistic time frames. If planets grew at realistic speeds compared to the amount of time it takes to build a spaceship it would take insane amounts of time to grow even a single world into something worthwhile. So for the sake of gameplay planets (or cities in the case of many other 4x games such as the Civilization series) grow much faster than what makes sense realism wise.

Because of some ill-devised MONSANTO-chemicals, human males in the 21st century were able to become pregnant as well. Which took place automatically. And, just like domesticated mice, the following incest-bred increased their reproduction-rate by +300%... as you can see that led to a real heavy motive to become a space-faring civilization in order to find some places to distribute the people around...

Then we met other alien races, and although down by law, there were some multi-racial mass cuddlings lalala the results of I don't want to speak of....

Maiden666, I like your idea...

I actually assume I'm dealing with no humans, just races ranging from Most-Human-Like Machines to Least-Human Like Machines to Bugs/Insects etc...

And so they can work 24 hours a day if need be to build that thing that humans would take 6 months to build in 1 WEEK!! And they're embarrasing the bunny population, too!
