So I just started playing, great game I might add, and I've been a fan of Stardock games for years from its first Sins of a Solar Empire and their is an issue with some of the troop commands that I think others have noticed.
So here it is, I select a group of units and I click on an area of the map for them to move, I get one of three indicators that tell me something, one a blue dashed line, a green dashed line, and a red with a circle. I understand what these are for but half the time my troops will not follow through with the command, Such as with the red, the enemy died or something so my units halt and sit acting like, "Well they are dead so why should I care now to move" Or the way point was already taken (blue indicator) by me and the army is like, "I'm not going to move to that position its already occupied." The green seems to get the point across but then they act like a bunch of retards and don't shoot at anything even when the enemy is clearly in front of them.
To bypass a lot of the frustration I now just use the attack move and click in an area that I want to go and it fixes that problem of them not moving and attacking as they move. So I know its still a new game, but can you please put this in a priority fix, its really frustrating, I mean the army is already slow at reacting and they really don't need to be incompetent on top of that, just do a simple "go to vector if not moving already Boolean" to force movement, cause so far it seems like their are other Boolean clauses like, "stop movement if enemy dies" and a "Don't retake a way point if possessed" Who cares what the conditions are I just want my troops to move and not look at me like I'm the one that is stupid. Also fix the patrol with holding shift, I shouldn't be loosing my indicator for patrolling on the first click while holding shift, its annoying to keep going back with a hotkey or click on the sub menu for patrol, and if I do that, it causes the patrol to fly off my screen and go on the other side of the map making me scream at the monitor.
By the way love the game, just giving my thoughts on it and pushing it to the limits, got about 1700 troops at one point and no crashes or performance issues.
