I asked this question in another string, but I thought I might get a better response putting it in the title. If embassies help relations via influence, is influence tied to diplomacy?
Do influence improvements also improve your diplomatic status? Do they keep others from declaring war, threatening, or demanding tribute and tech? Is that the purpose of influence, or is it merely to grow your boarders?
