I almost always play on Scattered rare. I am mixing it up a bit till 1.7 is official. Is there any features that are specific to a Spiral Galaxy that anyone knows about? 

As an example in GCII the Dread Lords were <always> at the center of the Spiral Galaxy. Is that the same here? Has anyone noticed any events that may or may not be more common on a spiral vrs any other type?

Still playing on Rare hab though so we shall see.

Also on a side note:

I am getting a CTD, on games where I select a Merc Ship in the diplomacy for trade. I inadvertently bought the accuracy booster ship and then realized it only moved 15 hexes. I opened up a dialogue with my buddies the Drengin and was going to give them the ship but every time my courser hovered over any Merc ships on my side the game instantly crashed full on to the desktop. I have since deleted every game file and reinstalled completely so I am not able to send in a ticket. I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue.
