This is a feature that is in the works.  Making it easy to make say, The Klingons and setting up the various templates.

I can't write a sentence that properly displays the gratitude for this feature, and the not-so-subtle madness, that doing this by manually for myself over the past year has done to me.

Under the covers that's what it will do.

The idea being I download the Klingons (for instance) and the default ships and such the AI and the player get as samples would have Klingon style designs.

I mean... you try building an entire city using plungers, and with poor depth perception, you'd be pretty angry.
