I thought that pretty much everyone here would unanimously like this. I just discovered this last night. It's not Star Control, but...
It's that Rodney Dangerfield thing again, SFB never get's any respect. They made it past Paramount's objections and are actually making this thing now. Our influence is never credited, but meet "Star Fleet Battles: The Movie". Oh baby!!!! I am going to love this so much when it is finished!!!

EDIT: After watching this like 10 times now, I just have to say that from the perspective of the SFU this "documentary" for this movie is PERFECT!!! This guy REALLY gets the SFU. It's "Tom Clancy's Star Trek" and this guy gets the unique tone, atmosphere, and feeling... the ships of the SFU. EVERYTHING!!! Whoever is behind this was an SFU junkie at some point, and totally gets it 1000%! The knickname the Klingons have for Captain Alexander is a perfect example of the difference between Star Trek and the SFU... if we had been brilliant enough to think of her she would be in the game, haha! The Admiral's speech to the council... The way it is all presented, the Clancy-esq style of it all... our wide-variety of ships and variants. How the ships are at the core of the story, and drive the story. It's all so absolutely perfect. It's like someone with the knowledge of a Staff member is making it. It really is perfectly done from the perspective of the SFU. I can't wait until this is finished!
Oh yeah, the overall plot here is a translation to the Star Trek Universe of the era that we call "The Four Powers War". This is a slight re-write of the Four Powers War eliminanting the Lyrans, Hydrans, and Kzinti out of the era so they aren't actually using SFU races and sticking with the Star Trek everyone knows. This is so huge to us people who grew up with the SFU and consider it to be a better continuation of Star Trek than Paramount's. This is like the biggest best movie that could ever be made too us!!!!
