Just wondering if there's anything in the works to modify this ability?
Issue I have with it is there isn't really any decisions involved. Imho, any player action should involve some degree of consideration. Anything which is an automatic default is a pointless mechanic and superfluous micro.
Eg.
Should I build nullifiers? = Do I not want my base/army vapourised in one click?
Should I use Orbital Strike? = Do I want to destroy a base/army with zero risk?
This ability seems very different to similar options in other games. Such as Total Annihilation and Planetary Annihilation and nukes.
Should I build anti-nukes? = What's the cost/benefit ratio to build anti-nuke vs how likely they are to risk a nuke strike?
Should I use nukes? = What's the cost/benefit ratio of cost of a nuke vs ratio of likelihood of successful strike and the expected damage.
I can foresee a common tactic of sniping nullifiers with air and trying to get a strike in before they react with jam ability.
I appreciate the game is still pretty new and expect a lot of changes in the coming months, just curious if Orbital Strike would be getting a treatment in some way in the near future.
