I guess that most of you guys at Stardock will now probably only work on the final details of the new Crusade DLC (you have to milk the cow as long as possible) but I hope that you will still support those of your customers who have already paid a lot for the basis game plus all currently available DLCs!
Therefore here is a wishlist with some items I would like to get in a patch for the current or next version of the game (but there's no reason not include them in Crusade too
)... some of them have already been mentioned or asked for previous posts but you cannot ask for these things often enough...
1. add an option to disable auto upgrades on the planet screen for ALL planets per default! It is very annoying that I have to remember to remove auto upgrades for all new colonies!
2. add the possibility to upgrade/rebuild ships at shipyards to another ship (within the same hull size). This would be a cheaper and much more realistic upgrade option instead of having a ship sit somewhere in deep space for 2 turns and then suddenly change itself into another updated version.
3. fix problems/bugs with ancient weapons/ship parts: now these parts either disappear (e. g. when upgrading or decomissioning a ship with special parts) or sometimes can be used in more than one ship!
4. add an option for local/lan games without connecting to stardock/gog.com/steam servers!
5. add an option for e-mail games (also without the need to connect to your, gog.com, or steam servers!)
6. add a few (5 - 10) hit points to starbases with every added module! At the start of the game 200 hp are ok, but later starbases are just to weak to survive attacks from more advanced ships!
7. show remaining movement points of a selected fleet in the info/summary on the lower left corner of the screen without having to hover with the mouse pointer over the fleet
8. keep (even outdated) information about e. g. pirate bases/shipyards, etc. in areas greyed out by fog of war. Sometimes it is hard to remember the location or find again a pirate base you have detected several turns ago on a huge galaxy map and now want to eliminate before colonization
9. named fleets should keep their name if ships are added to or ejected from the fleet
10. add an option to remove all custom ship designs before you start a new game. Since resources and research sequences vary from game to game it rarely makes sense to keep the designs of your last game(s).
11. add an option (or fix the not working "X" in the message) to remove the currently active events on the upper left screen corner!
12. add a "search star" button to enable players to look for any discovered star by name
I doubt that all of my wishes will be fulfilled but thanks for reading/listening and fixing as many as possible
