Hi all,
I've been away from all things GalCiv for quite a while, but have been giving Crusade a bit of a go. I'm wondering if the treasury tooltip (when hovering over money on the top bar) is working as intended. I was in a situation in a recent game where I discovered what had to be the last juicy planet on a small map. I had just enough money in the treasury to rush a colony ship and be left with a paltry 1 credit. But I checked, and the tooltip showed that my net income at the treasury was 9 or so, so I figured that was fine, and I'd go for it, and between the growth and whatever anomalies I picked up, I would start back int he right direction.
However, on the next turn I get a big warning that the treasury is in the red and I'll be suffering penalties for it. I hover over the tooltip, and it shows that I'm making 9 per turn. But digging into the empire screens, I see that while I'm making 9 per turn, I'm spending 11 per turn. Doesn't that make my net income -2? Shouldn't I have access to that information in the tooltip so I can make decisions without heading into the empire screen? Am I missing something.
Also in regards to that tooltip, I don't find it terribly useful to know what my best and worst credit generators are. That's something I'd be happy to go into the empire screen to find out, as it doesn't seem to have nearly as much bearing on a turn-by-turn basis as knowing what my real, actual income or output is economically.
Thanks,
Erf.
