is there a plan to add a Recall/Disband Stationed Legion feature?

don't want 10 legions stationed on some backwoods world when they can be of much better use at the front lines. but once you garrison a legion on a planet theres no way to disband it or recall it or move it into the general 'Empire Pool'.

This would be nice to have, provided it can be worked into the AI decision-making also

I prefer it as it is mostly... It creates a consequence, and bear in mind that those resources are likely less about man,power and more about infrastructure (fortifications) that can't really be returned to a pool.

I disagree. After all you can take your attacking legions with you every time you invade, why should they be different from garrisoned legions?

I prefer to think of legions as armies and so an option to move them around would be great. Although I don't like the concept of global legions very much, it would be better (and more logistically demanding) to deploy them where constructed automatically and having to carry them to their destinations right from the start.

I like this concept. many other games have a feature that let you embark armies onto transports. Crusade should have the same concept, like they already do for embarking colonists onto colony ships.

Yeah... I just think that if I can relocate Garrisons freely than there are few or no consequences to my decision as to where to put them. I'm fine if returning them to a pool has a industry cost... thus costing time and opportunity. Prevents you from shuffling that legion across the empire too easily.

Also I think of legions as spear-tip forces that can descend on one point of the planet, whereas Garrisons, being the same amount of manpower, but having to be capable of defending anywhere on the planet, have divested their forces and spent resources on fortifications and automated defenses instead of the cutting edge offensive weaponry available to a Legion proper.

But its all up for opinion.

Makes sense but the build time to place each garrison is some consequence even if you could return them to pool.

That's why I said legions shouldn't be global but should have to be carried to where they are needed.
