Victory pop up screen freeze

Hello,

 

I tried searching but I can't seem to find if anyone has the same issue.

For me, sometimes when the victory pop up box appears, the game soft-freezes.  I.E. the mouse cursor still works and the music plays, but the game is stuck at that point.  Cannot interact with anything and the only way to exit is with task manager.

This happens in Skirmish mode, but also it happens in Campaign to the point where I can't see the story videos.

Using DX12 version

File Version: 2.51.28674.0

I have had this issue multiple times too, with DX11. Wouldn't panic over it too much, the game remembers the win (So you don't have to repeat the campaign mission.

I had the same issue for quite some time.  Disabling the Auto-Save cured it for me back then.  Whatever the root issue was in my case they seem to have patched it out.  It has been re-enabled at some point and without further trouble. I'm on Win7, DX11.

I also had this on Win 10 DX11, possibly also on DX12.  This and *most* other anomalies ended when I moved to a new machine.  I think the most likely relevant hardware difference was a big increase in RAM.  I had 8GB and now have 64GB.   I kept the same old video card, and doubt the CPU matters to this.

So... if you're running 8GB that could be a contributor.  Short of adding more, try increasing your paging file.  I'd recommend at least 6GB for that.

It ain't RAM. I've got 16GB of it running at 2,400Hz, and it still happens to me.

This has stopped happening to me since the 2.6 update. maybe fixed.  Anyone else still having the issue?
