GCIII Crusade combat tactics and strategy remind me of some recently re read books about WWII. Specificallly, vManstein's Kharkov back hand stroke - assembling units, extracting some from precarious places to fall back, reform and counter strike enemy fleets. Also elements of WWII 's Island hopping in the Pacific come to mind. Anyone else reminded of that?
