If a window's title is too long, it will get cropped when grouped (so the title can fit tab's width). Unfortunately, hovering over the tab won't show the full title and also there is no option for a tab to be as long as the title requires.
Why seeing full title is useful?
- when working with various documents each having a version of the other one and titles are quite long, one cannot see which document is which.
For example:
"PhotoEditingFile_ForClient_ver-01psd"
"PhotoEditingFile_ForClient_ver-02.psd"
The above will be cropped to something like "PhotoEditingFile_For...". Therefore, the user can't see which is ver-01 or ver-02, which can cause confusion and can even lead to mistakes when working (editing the wrong file), especially when the documents are very similar.
Suggestions:
1. either offer the option to show full title in tab (which may create long tabs), or
2. option to crop filename by the middle (example: "PhotoEdi...ver-01.psd")
3. on mouse hover over the tab, to show the full name.
Personally, I'd prefer Option 2, but there are as many preferences as people... so who knows.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.
