I really, really hope one of the devs is reading this, because I'm very curious...
I read something one of the design team had written, and they said that our choices have consequences, and that by the time our game was over, the galaxy would probably look very different from someone else's galaxy.
Thing is...I don't really see how.
Most of the choices I'm given--at least in dialogue--seem to have led to the same place, ultimately. Like, if I tell the Scryve that they're slime or just ask them what they did next, they might give me a hot retort...and then say what they were gonna say anyway. (I know. I've tried it.)
I haven't really noticed more than one way to complete a mission, where I could be nice or be a brat.
We can't conquer stars and colonize them.
So...how do our choices have consequences? What are these changes that our choices ultimately bring? Are they just too subtle to notice, or was the hype a bit too...hyperbolic? I know it'd be a bit spoilerific to say, or at least to give specifics, but still...
Just curious.
