What Happened
Earlier this year we helped host a new map contest designed and run by members of the community. The original intention being to give an opportunity for players who may have never tried the map making tools to have a go themselves. The original thread along with all of the other entrants can be found here.

Result
We are very happy to announce that Fornax and Alpha Repeculae (formerly Untitled) by Luxlupus and GlorymanRTS are being included in the 2.77 update.
This is something we were hoping to do for a future update and alongside bringing you the winners today I can happily say these two maps, with some modifications, are making it into the next update which is already live in opt-in which you can read more about here.
