Hello,
I have had a chance to play this game for many hours and would like to submit some feedback.
- The game is good but with a few tweaks, could be great. First the ability to allow a shipyard to build up points and not constantly be building or doing something. In the prior games this was a strategic advantage because it allowed you to build mid and late game ships more quickly. This especially became useful during war time.
- The randomizer seems to favor infrastructure over combat. I have noticed this in multiple different species. if you are to build a Galactic navy, you clearly have to use the focus feature to get even a chance at having a decent navy or defense system.
- Certain early techs should be fixed and always available such as constructor vessels. While I agree learning to construct one may take research, constructors are a crucial part of the game If you rely on the randomizer, it is feasible to not be able to build a constructor for many turns once the game has started.
- Think about and integrate a few campaigns. That was one of my favorite things from the older GC 3.
- Consider a tech that allows colonies to have more than one upgrade. A good colony can be as efficient as a core world but with limited choice of upgrades it vastly hinders its capability to contribute to anything.
Thank you for the opportunity to make the game better. I look forward to hearing your response and feedback!
