On newer desktop, XP pro (no SP). On newer laptop, XP home SP2. On old laptop, Win2K Pro. On old desktop, I'm still installing and building it (frickin been there for 2 years).

I use home at home and pro at work - along with 98, 95, NT Workstation and NT Server.

Pro has added features for networking and policy implementation. No reason at all to use it at home...

Home on laptop, Pro on work computer. (I didn't notice any difference between them, except for remote desktop)

OK, I'm bringing this post back up on purpose. I don't know, but I think because most people are getting the Home version, I am thinking that Home people are brimging the rating down on the pro version because they dont have pro. Why would the Home have a high rating and Pro have a low one because the skin is 'bad'?

MCE 05, sooo, neither! well, you could say that since MCE is built around the pro technology that it is pro, but it doesn't have the same network capabilities so you could say that it is home as well.

MCE is built around the pro technology


I know. It should be built around Home because it will be used at home.
