Posts in a few recent threads have mentioned that the Forum pages seem to be loading slowly of late. I've noticed that, even on a cable modem, I'm averaging over 30 seconds to load ANY thread. Often, I need to try to load a page twice. This is a relatively new phenomenon. In the FOTR thread (post 2170), kryofx speculated:

1. Is this an isolated phenomenon, or is everyone experiencing it?
2. Is it a short-term phenomenon (for instance, as a result of traffic from the stand-alone patch being available) or is it here to stay?
3. What can we do about it?
Brad, Cari, and everyone at Stardock: You'd know better than any of us out here if this is a problem. If storage space is an issue, I suppose that there are many, many threads that are no longer in active use that could be sacrificed for better performance. It seems a shame to wipe out Forum history, but it's clear that this is becoming awkward for many users.
If bandwidth is the issue, on the other hand, I suppose we should be thankful that the game is getting more popular, BUT...
I get the feeling that stardock's network is just nearing its limit...
