New Game - Reset Economic Sliders

I just quit a game by going to the main menu and started a new one. When I did this, the economic sliders were still in the positions that I had them in the last game.

Shouldn't they reset to a defualt position? I forgot to check them on the first few turns and it messed up my start.

There are all sorts of things that don't get reset properly if you don't exit the game completely before starting a new game.
