Try clearing the cache by doing the following:

1 - Open My Computer > Tools menu > Folder Options > View tab > select "Show hidden files and folders" > click "Apply".

2 - Press Ctrl + Alt + Esc, to invoke Task Manager > click Processes tab > look for any ObjectDock.exe running > if running, select it and click "End Process" button > confirm to end process.

3 - Go to "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock" folder, and delete the ObjectDock (or ObjectDock Plus) folder found there. This is "Clearing the Cache", and will force ObjectDock to load with the default settings when next invoked.

4 - Start ObjectDock > if successful, use the configuration panel to load your theme if you saved it previous to the current issue, or re-create your theme and save.

I have all Windows updates installed with no probs...

If the updates did something with the Windows firewall and your dock has docklets that need to get through (eg weather, RSS etc) and are being blocked - maybe this is the reason?
