"Random AI" quesiton-

What is supposed to happen when you select the Random AI. I see that the selection box shows "Random", but the dialogue in the race description box shows a paragraph from one of the specifice AI's. I assume this is the AI I will end up playing against.

I hope the purpose of the random AI button is to make it so I don't know how "intelligent" the opposing races will be. If this is how it's supposed to work then something needs to be done about the dialogue in the description boxes when "random" is selected.

Also, shouldn't it be possible to change back from random to something else without having to quit the game. If it is possible, I can't figure out how. I have even tried going back to the main menu, but the choices still remain "random".

I think the left/right arrows next to the selection boxes do it.

When you do random it generates a description based on what it came up with. I agree with you, though, that it would hide that or mask it somehow if you choose random.

Dawn-

The left/right arrows dissapear after selecting random. They should probably just stay there so you can change it back from random.

I don't remember what build it was on but I know I had set the morality of the major races to random, clicked the back button, then "start new game", and the arrows came back up and the windows had a selected morality in them. I haven't tried it yet on build 3E.

Hmmm.. Nope, the morality buttons aren't comming back until I quit to desktop and restart the game.

Just tried.

Just checking to see in SD has noticed this??? Will it be "fixed" with the next update?

Problems-

1. Arrows dissapear after selecting random AI. There is no way to unselect "random" besides restarting the game.

2. I would prefer not to know what AI I will be playing against if I choose random. Right now you can look in the race description box and determine what the AI will be after selecting random.

Thanks!

Well, what I've always done is click on the image of the race to disable them, then click on them again to re-enable them. The options are back. I haven't tried this in this build, but it has worked in all the others
