Autoroute does not move ships

Now autoroute is not moving ships at all. Additionally I can select them but get no info about their stats. The little screen is just showing a guy smiling at me (perhaps), but there is no (info) button or HP/AT/DE shown. I can select a planet/science/foreign realtions etc. and do things, hmm, well not quite true after a turn (manually forced via button) does not lead to the usual pop up's, just nothing happens.
I guess when I restart the game everything is alright, but it's annoying to save/restart the game frequently.
