Crabby Mouse...

Driving me nuts!

Every so often my cursor will shoot to the corner of the screen. It appears to choose the corner at random. During games it gets annoying - in UT2004 the room spins round and I end up facing the wrong way... :(

I've changed the mouse, changed the driver and changed the settings. Any other suggestions?

Using Multiplicity? I've had it happen a few times since I installed MP.

It also happens when I am in low-light conditions and the tabletPC is on "adjust to abiant light" settings.

My mouse does it too once in a while. I have a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse deal. I like it, but the cursor jumping can get annoying when I'm working in Illustrator or Photoshop. Or the occasional game. Using a mousepad seems to prevent it, but I don't care enough. If it bothers you, try a mousepad, or another surface.

This happens on my machine as well ...only ever happens with the optical mouse/mice [both wireless & wired].

If I switch to my ps2 trackball mouse ..it stops doing it.

Annoying when it happens, and I haven't found a fix other than that.
