Terraforming "Drought"

There is a large gap between the soil improvement/ habitat improvement era (early on) and the terraforming tech (very late) where there is no realistic way to improve your worlds.

It would be nice for builders if there was a tech or two in between that allowed for improved planetary conditions.

In beta 2, terraforming was 50%. It was dropped to 20% in beta 3. Its cost stayed at 1,000 shields. Put it to a vote, back to 50%, drop cost, or stay same.

I think Brad wants to bring Crystali back to the game. Not sure if ver 1.0 or 1.x. Might be able to build this wonder before terraforming.

I agree with Martinl's point of having an extra tech in between habitat impr. and terraforming. I think it would be nice to improve worlds in the middlegame as well.

I like it the way it is now... it adds urgency to the beginning of the game to get out there and get good planets, because you're not going to be able to improve anything too much for a long while...

I think that it should go back to 50% if the cost stays at 1000 shields. The cost is too high for the relatively low benefit. I would also be happy with lowering the price to say 500, and add another 20% upgrade earlier for another 500.
