How many of you are Diabetic's?

Hi, I'm a type 2 diabetic and have been for only 8 months now.

My daughter is 9 years old and was diagnosed type 1 about a year ago. It's been a long road of needles, diet change,
box drinks and dr visits,

Hey Jim, are you a coffee drinker? Just asking because I think coffee has prevented my dad from having type II. He is the only one out of 6 siblings that doesn't have it. The two things that set him apart are 1)He isn't obese (although either is one of his brothers) and 2)He is the only one that drinks coffee by the pot. The new study linking coffee with diabetes prevention made me think of him.

My maternal grandmother overcame type II with diet only. My paternal grandmother was blind and eventually died from complications of Type I. Of course she had before they had insulin treatment.
