You've probably seen most of these already but just in case:
1. The minor races are still too fierce. Whole civilizations are surrendering to them.
2. Ship piles result when ships are set to auto-attack.
For some reason they just run on top of the ship they
are auto-piloted to, then you have to back off one space to actually attack. This also lets enemy and pirate ships hide from attack.
3. The game still crashes a lot, particularly when shifting races in the Minor Races screen. Just bops out to DOS.
4. Neither population nor techonological success seem to affect influence enough. I was by far the most populous and WAAY ahead of my neighbours technologically yet for some unaccountable reason their influence seemed to be affected almost entirely by the number of star systems they controlled than anything else about them. And this was a festering feedback loop as minor and major races and even my star systems began to join them.
