a new [i think] bug

I haven't seen anything about this here. In 2206 of a game in a large universe, two things occurred simultaneously. First, the small display in the lower right of the main screen, which usually shows the info on selected ships, no longer does so. Instead, it shows the message which goes with whatever special screen I last visited, e.g. "This is the Domestic Policy Screen"...etc. This makes things a bit more difficult, not being able to access the stats on a given vessel.

Also, up until the same point, when I pressed the "Find" button, the display would jump to the location of the next available ship, which would be highlighted. Now, the display doesn't change, but remains centered wherever I last had it. If I manually scroll around the universe, eventually I will find the next ship, which will be highlighted as it should be, but it's obviously not conducive to ease of gameplay to have to hunt for each ship manually. I don't know if anyone else has encountered this, but, if it is a bug, and not some vagary produced by the program interacting with my own, specific system, it ought to be dealt with.

Guess what? I just "fixed" it. Just as I was about to post this, I recalled that a number of bugs in this game can be gotten around by saving, exiting, and reloading. I tried that, and it worked. So, I guess this isn't as big a problem as it first seemed, altho for anyone who doesn't think of exiting and restarting, it would be frustrating.

Leaving the game and entering it to resolve a bug is frustrating even if it occured to you.

Umm...that's really bizarre...probably two different messages tried to send at almost the same time, and so it just stymied itself.
