ok I got smart exception now.......

What next?

Does someone have some instructions on what to do next?

I did find the file that was created on the crash - and I used a single word editor to view it - but who do I send it to and what else do they need?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Jerry

I think the people are all too busy today to look at the forum so I will give you an answer you can use until they have time to respond.

Send a note to Cari at [email protected] and attach the file and any other files you think may be useful, such as the prefs.ini from the galciv\data directory and the debug.err file from the galciv directory. If you think there may be something in the last saved game that may help in diagnosis then sip the directory containing the saved game and attach it and its corresponding file, such as test.sav and the "test" directory. Be sure to describe what you were doing at that time giving as much detail as you think may be relevant.

It would also help the rest of us if you posted the SE report on this forum (IMO to a new thread) with a description of what led up to the crash. Then the rest of us can avoid a duplicate post of the same problem. Be sure to include the call stack as that is just as important in identifying a duplicate crash as the trap address.

Aaarrrggg.

I should proofread my posts better than that!!!

The first sentence should start "I think the people at Stardock are all too busy getting the Beta 4 build ready for us to look ..."
