Does anyone else notice that when you give stuff to another empire your relations do not improve?

I would think that they would be happy after receiving love mushrooms....

This was one of many known bugs Brad mentioned in the thread "BETA 3Z NOW AVAILABLE". I see that beta 3-Z1 is now available as well.

These posts are very old, but I'm still having this trouble. Should giving tech improve relations in the current version of the game or not?

It does, but depending on the tech and current relations some trades may not make enough difference to be noticeable on the slider. As far as I can tell the slider has very discrete itervals that it can move.
