Request for a "planned/rejected features" page

I'd like to make a request that we have a page or something (I'd say a sticky thread, but I don't think this board supports them) which we can look at before we make any requests for features. That way, we'll know before we post whether to bother.

For example, I was about to make a request to add build costs to the governor queue window, but I dimly recall it being mentioned before, so I wasn't sure if it was accepted or not.

On a serious note, I think it would be a good idea. I don't want to make suggestions that are already in the works or listed as a 1.x probability. Its a waste of your time to go through essentially repeated posts, and a waste of my time to post it too :)

One thing you may wish to do to get a feel of what is important is to list the wish list and solicit preferences, or a priority list.

i wonder if we could rank our wish lists in a cyber poll. List as many as the poll could hold and let all the users vote on them. :)

Actually I was thinking of "which 10 do you think are most important and in what order of importance would you place them?". Brad did this on GC/OS2 and I think the results were great.

Just want to second Jack's idea. I think it wou;d be a great way to find out what are the most wanted features.

Maybe when I get done with the manual I can put together a document like that and put it in the encyclopedia area.
