Someone help me with ship building plz

OK, i try building my colony ship in the customization area and then when im ready to save it, i hit save and then i hit done, but when i hit done, i get this message "you are going to delete unsaved changes, continue?". The thing is that whne i hit save, it doesnt save, it just is a layout of a ship you made instead of it being a ship that can be useable.

You can't upgrade the core ships. You need to click NEW and make the ship you want. Then click SAVE. A box pops up and you need to name your ship, and optionally put a description in the bottom half of the box. I think somewhere along the line you are doing something out of order. I'm guessing you are trying to upgrade a core ship or something. It might help if you exactly described how you are going about trying to make and save your ships.

Make sure that you do not have ANY windows open in the game BEFORE entering the ship creation screen. I had the hardest time with this problem as well.
