Game requirements

I'll be getting a new computer over Xmas (my old PII is about to give up the ghost). Actually, I'll probably pick up a used computer from a local store. But before I do that I need to know the requirements for playing GalCiv. I've heard that 600 Mhz is minimum; is there a reccomended? And what RAM will I need?
I was also hoping someone could tell what me MOO3 will require.
Is this written down anywhere?

Keith,

I have not been able to find the system requirement data for GalCiv but what I remember is;

At least 600Mhz processor, at least 128 MB ram, display resolution at least 1024*768*16bit (not sure about the 16 bit color requirement), and there were some requirements for the sound system as well. Hopefully someone else can add to this.

For MOO 3 I found the specs on the MOO 3 web site, www.moo3.quicksilver.com

300 Mhz or better,
128 Mb ram or better
8X or faster CD-rom
400 Mb hard drive space
DirectX 8.0 compatible video and sound cards
must be able to display at 800*600*16bit
Windows 98/ME/XP
Multiplplayer also has a requirement, but it seems to be a generic one.

I gues those are the RECOMMENDED specs ;p BUT I'm playing it fine on P3-450 and P2-333 machines, both with OLD voodoo banshee cards without delays or problems MIND you the P3 has 512MB RAM and the P2 has 364MB RAM. Both have Win ME :sniff!: and the sound card in the P2 is CM83xx series (generic). So I'd say they're not as demanding as posted so far :)

Brad says elsewhere in the forum that you can cut down on the hardware requirements a lot if you don't play the videos. I believe he says you have to delete the *.bik files or move them to a different directory.

I'm playing GalCiv with no significant problems on a P-200 MMX with 96MB RAM.
