Need input for first Icon Set

What do you think?

Control Panel

World of Warcraft

I guess all the icons would have a ring but maybe not black.

What are we looking at here? Drafts? what the final icon will be?

I like that WoW one! Now make it shiny and glossy like

I like the squiggly lines...but yeah, make them glossy or glassy. The WOW one would be cool in green - it kinda looks like an alien.

Just tried it as is...works...makes it different
but for set, are you talking IP or OD?

This is for IP. I wanted to make something like this Link
If you download the pics and make an icon it looks better.

I like yours better.

Is that glossy or glassy enough? Are the Shortcut and Sharing Overlays ever on at the same time?

I like the style and am looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

I hope you're not offended. I do like them and was just tempted to play around with one.

How did you do that?

Are the Shortcut and Sharing Overlays ever on an icon at the same time, because they would cover each other now.

Photoshop. You did it, I just added very little FX,dropshadow, duplicated the layer and set it to colurburn (or dodge, I forget)

Are the Shortcut and Sharing Overlays ever on an icon at the same time,

Nope, not that I have ever seen. They are their own individual icons when you are building an icon package, so you wouldn't make them part of say a 'my documents folder' or something. They will be added by IP iftha icon is shared or a shortcut.

If you open IconPackager and click 'preview' for whatever pack your using...then click on 'other', you will see the shortcut and shared icons as seperate icons. Personally, I don't use them, but I have made them for the 2 packs I did. I don't know who does use them. Some of them are so big as to be distracting and they cover up some great work.

What you have made would actually be entered 'over' the lower left corner of your icon, I believe, not next to it. That's whay I don't like them.

cool, with the cp one, put a spanner or something to make it look more like it is to tune windows.

Not bad...looking forward to a finished set. And it might be a nice idea to maintain the outside circle in one set and maybe change it in another. And what Po' did there looks pretty neat.
